Blessing for a New Creation

​Oh, new follower of Christ; newest member in God’s Kingdom;
May you see His face shining down on You now--
“This is My child whom I love.”
 
May you begin to experience His peace--
Peace that passes ALL understanding.
Peace from your confidence that He has your back,
​no matter the circumstances.
 
May your longing and resolve to abide in Him run deep in your soul.
May you grow day-by-day in your awareness of the Spirit.
 
Oh, child of God, you are NOT what you were.
As you learn about, and step into, your new identity,
May God reveal to you pieces of His vision for you,
May that vision be always in your mind and your heart,
And when the enemy tries to distract you,
or block your path,
May you recognize the enemy’s schemes.
May you call the scheme for what it is--
Intended for your destruction.
And may you call on the name of the Lord God Almighty
To fight the battle for you.
 
Oh, Kingdom Citizen,
your Commander has an assignment
JUST.
FOR.
YOU.
 
As you put down your former agendas and seek only His,
You will sense God’s very presence in you, around you, beside you.

As waters from the depths of the earth erupt forcefully and regularly,
May wonder and worship come forth from your spirit like a geyser--
beauty and power that cannot be contained.


As walking by faith is the greatest Adventure possible,

You will go places, you will meet people,
you will become a light-bearer and care-giver
to those you meet along the way—especially those who need Jesus.
 
​Through all of these things,
YOU will experience greater and greater
intimacy with your Creator.
You will stand more and more for justice, mercy, and humility.
    You will stand in awe of the One who was, and  who IS, and who IS TO COME.
And you will rejoice when He says to you,
​“Well, done.”

Anyone who is in Christ is a new creation.  The old life has gone.  The new life has come!

Jesus answered, "I tell you for certain that before you can get into God's kingdom, you must be born not only by water (naturally) but by the Spirit.  Humans give (physical) life to their children.  Yet only God's Spirit can change you into a child of God. . . Only God's Spirit gives new life."
